Why should he lose his jobs being some dim-witted, knuckle dragging, evolutionary throwbacks seem to only be capable of responding to dislike with violence?

Lennon has been known to resort to violence himself.

Do you remember him headbutting Shearer?:)

You must be rearranging what I'm posting because nowhere have I condoned the attack on him. I don't like the man and as a Celtic fan I'd prefer if he wasn't manager of Celtic. That will be how I feel even if they manage to win the league on Sunday.

However as I said previously "He is quite an obnoxious and aggressive character who has had a diplomacy bypass but he doesn't deserve what he's had to endure this season."

If you're referring to my Shearer link then I'm assuming you haven't viewed it if you thought I was making a serious point. :erm:

It was a red whatever time it was in the game. He could have easily castrated Lewis.

You guys didn't seem to be affected by the sending off much though - keepers were both in fine form. Monday will be a pretty epic shootout.

It wasnt pointless, it was deserved. It did change the whole game tho.

Forest didnt play very well. Still, in previous years we've tended to play better in the away leg.

More ball to hand, he was moving out the way and didn't really look like he intended to handle it. I think giving it would probably have been quite harsh.

No manager or player should ever have to endure attacks on the pitch or in the street, regardless of how much of a horses rear end they are.

HOWEVER questions have to be asked as to why a high profile catholic manager of Celtic (Martin O'Neill) wasn't attacked or abused and was even grudgingly respected by Rangers fans and well liked by most other Scottish fans yet another high profile Catholic manager (Neil Lennon) is absolutely loathed by most fans out with Celtic.

Is it because he is Catholic or more to do with him?

His backing of the disgusting oxygen thieves known as the Green Brigade and their disgusting repertoire of songs plus the constant fanning of some fans paranoia hasnt helped him at all.

Questions should be asked, and they should be directed at those people who appointed Lennon. They knew his personality and his background. They knew how volatile he was as a player so they can hardly be surprised that he falls below the standards of behaviour that should be expected of Celtic's manager.

The board's continued support of Lennon plays right into the hand of the knuckle draggers already paranoid nature.

You can't compare O'Neill to Lennon. Some friends of mine who support Rangers had a bit of respect and admiration for O'Neill. Not one of that has anything but loathing for Lennon. But then, AFAIK, there aren't any youtube videos of Martin singing anti-Rangers songs or spitting on Rangers scarves.

I don't think Lennon's particularly bright so he really should be pitied. When the Celtic board who appointed him finally weary of this circus, who will pick up the security tab that will obviously be needed?

At least one ultra-paranoid Celtic fan I've spoken to thinks this is all being fabricated and continually brought up in the media so Celtic can go to UEFA and demand the right to move to another league to escape the 'anti-catholic' feeling thats seemingly rampant in Scotland.

He's a lawyer... :dunce: :erm:

I don't buy this is simply dislike of Lennon with a sectarian slant. Let's remember the bombs sent a few weeks ago also went to two other Celtic fans, there seems to be increasing tension to go alongside Lennon's inflammatory style.

It's sectarianism. There's no slant on it. The history and the underlying causes of go back long before Neil Lennon was born.

Why has it raised it's ugly head again? I'm not entirely sure but obviously Neil Lennon is the figurehead hate figure for now. There has been an increased tension between Celtic and Rangers and indeed Celtic and the SFA but that doesn't explain how the Knuckle draggers have decided to become bomb makers.

Maybe the internet has just reached Kilwinning and the inbreeding ones have finally learnt how to learn to type with their 12 fingers. ;)

That would prove complicated as the gap is tight. If Liverpool were to overcome it then they might want a golden one. The Invincibles got one because it was an achievement relating to that season. Liverpool didn't one for their 18th.

They may get one but it might be better to do it on the 20th one.

It's taken United 18 years to get the record, that's an achievement in itself.

I don't think an achievement should be unique to be recognised that way. Going a season unbeaten can happen to anyone when things are going well. To win the league is impressive, to smash the record is another and is something which should be recognised in the way Arsenal were.

Going a season unbeaten obviously can't happen to anyone or it would happen more often. I think 19 is an odd number to give a gold trophy. Otherwise what happens if Liverpool win the next two? Record beaten again. Maybe give on on the 20th title.

There is nothing to say a team can't go unbeaten in a season. Obviously it takes a lot of skill, effort, the right manager etc - it's rare but it can happen. I'm not playing down the acheivement, it's certainly a big thing but it can happen to any team with the right combination of factors.

If a team wins a trophy and breaks a record that has been standing for almost 20 years, I'd say that's worthy of recognition.

To be clear it's not a huge thing for me - but if one team gets it for acheive a milestone then it's right that another team should get it too for something equally as worthy.

On this note can`t believe that City could now finish 3rd. What happened to Arsenal
One minute they where potential champions beating Man Utd and blowing the title race wide open, the next they are in 4th spot with one game to go. Is it fatigue, squad depth, experience? This really could have been your year, how much longer are Arsenal going to put up with Wenger and his ways.
Do any Arsenal fans think it`s time for a change or do you still think Wenger will assemble a squad capable of maintaining a challenge for trophies?

Wenger is fine. Given the resources of the club the 14th consecutive qualification for the Champions League is an achievement and it only seems not to be because of his previous successes. As such Arsenal will put up with him for a good while yet, the fans who want him out are still a minority and it's slightly amplified because of the awful run we're on.

The question is simply: Who else can achieve more at Arsenal than Wenger? Hard to see.

Looks very much like Lewis McGugan's vs Ipswich but from a lot closer in.

9 years after their club was stolen by the MK Dons consortium, AFC Wimbledon have been promoted to the Football League after winning the play-off final 4 - 3 on penalties against Luton.

Well done Wimbledon and their fans. Brilliant Story.

Agreed, its just a pity that Luton couldn't come up as well. They were just as shabbily treated by the FA, a 30 point deduction considering some of the minor slaps across the wrists given out recently to miscreant clubs was way over the top.

So who's gonna get the Golden Boot this year? 20 goals each for Berbatov and Tevez..

Also it's great to see such a tight finish in the relegation zone this year coming upto the final games.. Should mean some spirited games as they fight for Premiership survival

Yup, a fantastic cliffhanger. I'm really looking forward to it as there'll still be few twists to come.

I'll have sympathy for whatever teams eventually go down.

It's sad news that Owen Hargreaves wont be given a new contract at the end of the season by United. He must be one of the unluckiest players around with injuries. He seems like such a nice bloke and when fit a very good player. I really hope he gets over the injuries and plays again at some level.

Man City look certain to get third. 2 - 0 up while Arsenal are losing. Very tight at the bottom of the table

It wasn't too long ago that the ENGLISH FA were happy to stage the final of major tournaments on Welsh soil;)

Really - I'm guessing it's news to you that there are English teams in the Welsh and Scottish leagues? Let me guess, that's 'different'.

Nobody complained when Swansea were top of the old Division One in the early 80s and none should complain if they get promoted -except the racists and elitist English.

Madness, it really is.

Just because they don't win the league, Chelsea sack the manager.
