Lager and bitter lemon here. Reminds me of my youth drinking lager and lime.

For £12.99 its really nice and tastes pretty much like Jim Beam.

Happy days when our only care was having enough left for a bag of chips on the way home... :)

Those memories. :)

Occasionally we get to replicate them on the reunions. :)

Well when I said all we had to worry about was having change for a bag of chips I forgot to mention the cold war/soviet threat, incessant strikes, regular power cuts, rampant inflation, Labour governments... :D

No true tar eschews the ships grog.

However, back in the real world we're enjoying the second bottle of McGuigan Bin 156 Chardonnay that I got on Friday. :)

Might just join you guys - fancy a drop o' wine...

Bargain of the week glugging plonk for Saturday is Arniston Bay "The Reef" Merlot at a princely sum of 4.5 English Pounds from the local ASDA

ASDA have started to cotton on to these drinkable bargains by the looks of it though. One of the usual suspects has increased in price from £4 to £8.50 in the space of a day. I have personally taken one for the team by drinking lots of mediocre vino to unearth such gems only to be stabbed in the back like this. Blimmin cheek!

This isn't the official word by any means but Asda is now moving away from selling 'cheap plonk'.

These are highly drinkable wines at a resonable price as opposed to gallon bottles of tramp juice ;)

The official line is that the Spaniards spend too much time sleeping in doorways under wide brimmed hats thus not squashing enough grapes, creating a supply and demand problem.
