Re: [Merged] Football talk
Bear in mind though that Ruud hasn't played a game since November!

Re: [Merged] Football talk
Bear in mind only us carried the flag this week, shameful. Premiership ain't the best in the world now.

Re: [Merged] Football talk
Did any one notice that both AC and Inter played away last night? Could be pretty crowded on the pitch in two weeks. :D

Re: [Merged] Football talk
Aye the pitch will be awful. Whoever's playing on the Wednesday will get a bog standard pitch.

Re: [Merged] Football talk
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Ruud van Nistelrooy will start Saturday's Premiership encounter with Portsmouth at Old Trafford.
Van Nistelrooy made a 30-minute appearance against AC Milan in midweek after three months out with an Achilles injury and the Dutchman will now step up his drive for match fitness by taking his place in what is likely to be a much-changed starting line-up. "Ruud will be in from the start, no doubt about that," Ferguson told the Manchester Evening News. "It is always difficult coming on off the bench, especially after a long time out with injury and in a match like that, but Ruud did really well." Prior to the FA Cup win over Everton, Ferguson said some of his senior stars would need a rest this weekend, so Roy Keane is almost certain to stand down, while Wayne Rooney might also be granted a break. Roy Carroll is expected to continue in goal despite his costly blunder against Milan, while Mikael Silvestre and Phil Neville are hoping for a recall. Source |

Megson's sorted out our defence and he seems to be making noises about the attack as well. We've only conceded 2 in the league in about 6 weeks and drew with spuds. Add in that player for player, we're no worse than the sheep and that it's a local derby, it's very much winnable. |

Nistelrooy was the weak link in the team, utd were lucky to get the victory |
Re: [Merged] Football talk
So it's now down to United and Chelsea for the title. Arse have done the decent thing and been crap recently, with their title hopes fizzling out early like a cheap firework :D
