Sensible people should be on fixed rates by now.

Those rates are alot more than i am paying and I know mine are more expensive than others on here.

Unless of course they are stuck with a penalty. Paying £150 to get out of a contract will not save you money when the rates increase

Only get a penalty if they're already on a fixed or a smart tariff I guess, a tracker tariff is still likely far better than those above prices, atleast I hope they are.

Well to be honest anyone not on a fix by now you just can not help some could be stuck to much left in their contracts

You should only have a penalty if you're already on a fixed contract (or some other non standard tariff).

The quotes I found all had £100 or £150 charges to exit a fixed tariff early. And none of the fixed ones actually saved me much money at all.

You don't always have to pay an exit fee on fixed contracts.

I have dual fuel with British Gas on a Fixed Term with a £50 exit fee per fuel, however they state, "you won't pay an exit fee if you switch to another British Gas fixed tariff".

You dont have to pay one near the end of the contract either, but neither of these is what I actually said. :)
