My lad just got a confirmation email from University of South Carolina, stating he can undertake his second year of Uni there as an Exchange Student - result!

My Happy Thought is that July 18th to 23rd is a week of Peace and Tranquility in the Lake District, ( if all my plans work out ) no phone or computer just me and Mother Nature :D :D :D

Fabulous Hugh, great opportunity for him, though I suspect you will miss him something rotten! :D

Sorry ladies but i disagree with you both (no offence), the public sector is dying and I'm looking to get into the private sector where all the growth is expected. Whilst we have the government in control as we do, private sector is the only way to go IMO.

No offence taken sb and normally I would agree with you but under the circumstances some time it's better the devil you know and in this case Mr M seems to be under a fair bit of stress.

That sounds lovely, I could do with a break like that myself Tosh so I'm quite envious. Again Photos will be required. :D

Good for you Hom3r! IMVHO You obviously have the qualifications or you would not have had the offer. What matters it, if the job only lasts for a couple of months so what? A job is a job is a job and it's always something else to add to your CV. Sounds as though it could become permanent, although I sincerely hope the original job holder makes a full recovery, but that is out of your hands, so no need for you to feel guilty. Pity about not being paid for holidays tho, I trust that this would alter if the job became yours. Let us know what you decide. Good luck!

Thanks for that, had no offer yet other than the two months that I'm doing, if a full job was to be offered I'ld take it. But I believe that extensions would happen in the short term, which I can live with until I leave or get taken on full time.

Well, After speaking to the company and explaining the situation to them they are more than happy to accomodate me with any needs that I may have. Work played a part in my breakdown so I think therefore that a clean break is whats needed.

I have a chance here to improve and I can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Thank you for your advice everyone. :)

We've been trying to source a rhubarb crown for some time now, and put the word out amongst our friends. All of a sudden two have come along at once, anyone for crumble? :):):):D
