Nope, I believe it means that you will be able to hook your Tivo up to your Superhub and stream Netflix through that connection rather than your dedicated Tivo connection, which means if the VM Network goes down and you still have Broadband, Netflix will continue to work.

No, it will only use the built-in connection.

Those issues aren't caused by the 10Mbps link, unless you have a signal quality fault. They tend to be further back in the network

And yes hopefully it will allow 1080p output when using Netflix and then switch to 1080i for Broadcast/OD.

It will, provided you have both 1080p and 1080i selected in the TiVo settings.

How do well find out if we're one of those customers who get to use netflix on the pilot scheme virgin are doing before it becomes available for everyone

You'll get a letter and messages on the TiVo later in the week if you are in a pilot area.

Hi all

We have just had the confirmation of the Netflix trial plans for TiVo. I can announce that the lucky areas for Netflix to be rolled out and trialed are:
Peterborough
Crawley
Andover
Londonderry
Swindon
A full roll out is being planned for a later stage to cover other areas. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have more information.

Thanks
Craig

John :)

If you download the new BBCi App for android you will be able to view most of the BBC programs with no problem.
I watch the F1 Qualifying last Saturday live and it was very good
Plus there are separate apps for Demand 5 & 4oD which work well

An Virgin viewer has told me today there's a few technical glitches Virgin Media need to sort out before launching two new channels (Rumoured to be FOX + and Disney Channel HD*) but they are coming and could be here as early as Thursday.

*Still waiting to get channel confirmed by insiders.

Geography doesn't come into it. It's about picking areas with the right number of users, and spreading between the three legacy networks.

The north get things first when appropriate. Here are some major northern firsts:
Digital TV - Manchester
VOD - Glasgow
NGTV - York, then Leeds

The way I look at it, by the time Netflix arrives in my area (London) it will be stable and bug-free.

Well done VM on bringing this to TiVo. My personal VM wish-list is getting shorter each week.
