We don't have many members, but as I recall, Wolfie Smith only had 6 members of the Tooting Popular Front, and he did OK. ;):)

I'm going to be whistling the theme tune all night now !

Mark l will always be nice to you no matter how grumpy Victor can be at times.:)

BT games as I understand it will occupy the Saturday early slot. Man U/Man City/Arsenal/Chelsea/Spurs/Wigan (!) will most probably be in the European competitions and so their games will be scheduled for Sunday/Monday so I doubt Sky have overloaded their picks just used common sense!

I moved my TV to Sky last November so could get BT Sports but at £12 a pop for second choice matches at a time I either can't watch or can see on a TV in a bar before my team play just isn't worth it IMHO. When my 12 month half price deal with Sky expires I will review my options hence my keeping a eye on this thread.

BT games are LUNCHTIME at half twelve....

the fact is you are wrong. they have 18 first pick games. these are games that would have been on Sky last season, on BT now. that's kinda a big deal.

That's a matter of opinion, and imo the games BT are showing is nothing to write home about! I certainly will not be paying any extra (if indeed that is the case) to watch the line up that BT are showing.

12:45 actually which is when a lot of football fans around the UK are making there way to games so the ratings for this slot may not be as high as say Sunday's or Monday's on Sky sports

Seems like all these articles are based on the original Broadcast Now article. I.e., only one source. I truly wish there were more independent sources, and that it does happen, because although I don't give a 'T' about football, there are many on here who do. It will also be good for VM to have the full complement of major sports channels on offer.

I will be very disappointed if we don't get these channels for free, when we lost VoD Warner TV I was close to dumping VM. It made up 90% of the VoD content I watched! Add that to the other channels lost and soon to be lost, its a significant degradation of the XL package.
But I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed , although I would settle for Netflix or LoveFilms being including in the XL package!

An announcement on my TIVO:

From 1st August ESPN, ESPNHD America and Classic wont be available from any TV provider.

There are still plenty of ways to get our sports fix with Virgin media.

with British eurosport you can catch world championship atthletics. Plus you can keep up with all the sporting highlights on sky sports news.

What about this so called announcement today about BT Sport. I find VM totally disgusting and typical of a company that show contempt for its customers.

This is the way it treats its thousands of customers if they won't say anything.
