Think they clue was in the 'web version' part.. seems crazy they are negotiating deals for TVA yet not including all platforms.
Am hoping they are working on these, and when/if the Android version ever launches, we have a strong line up of channels.

Sky Atlantic
Sky Atlantic +1
Pick TV +1
Sky1 +1
Sky News HD
Sky Sports News HD?

I only want Atlantic if it is in HD, otherwise it is a waste for me.

:D Good point, the selection available on ipad is pretty poor though. Would like to see Virgin step up their efforts with this. Selection is great on web version, but my laptop isn't great, viewing on ipad is excellent. Would actually rather Virgin made all channels on Tv Anywhere available to ipad users rather than get Atlantic.

Think they are merely paying lip service to the Atlantic negotiations tbh.

So do you not watch any channel unless it is in HD?

Presumably you didn't watch any TV before HD was broadcast?

Most of us want the HD version of any channel, but to say you won't watch a show because it is not in HD just sounds barmy to me.

Every new channel should be in HD, especially flagship ones.

Well they can't do it without agreement. Whether that's a new agreement, or it has scope beyond TVA, I wouldn't know.

Totally agree matey, more and more people are getting tablets these days and ignoring them by just putting channels to be able on pc's and laptops is vm yet again burying there heads in the sand.so frustrating and disappointing

Major cock up on the epg as it says Thirteen Ghosts on SyFy but on SyFy HD it says ring of fire? When will they sort out the epg?

Al Jazeera set to launch local UK channel?

Quote:

Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al-Thani, the network's Director General told AFP: "We are currently working to launch a news channel from the United Kingdom."

Al Jazeera UK would broadcast during prime time, replacing the international schedule from Al Jazeera English on all UK digital TV platforms with news bulletins tailored for a UK audience.

We have had this question asked many times before and the answer as always is we didn't have 50 inch + sets years ago... My set up at home has cost me a few grand, if I can't watch game of thrones for example in hd quality with 5.1 sound from my pay tv provider then I will source it from somewhere else, then no one wins, not sky or vm.
