For anyone that has Titanfall, the Season Pass is available for Free from the xbox store at the moment. It's basically a load of new maps and I wish I never bought it with the game originally but since it's free, make sure you grab it!

I think the deal i got was £5 at Christmas, but free is a must.

I am so glad i went all digital and always hold off buying new games waiting for deals as it has saved me a fortune and made things cheaper than discs on many occasions.

But what if your account were to get hacked and you had no other choice but to do a charegback on your credit card?
Your account would get banned and you'd lose all your games ;)

Xbox , PSN, Origin, and Steam all ban accounts for a charge back

I would have to take that risk like most people, things are going digital with this generation more than ever before.

I do have emails of purchased games though, so not sure if that would help.

Re: The Xbox One Thread

Just signed up to Netflix and changed the DNS settings on the Xbox One to USA, it was so easy, how often will i have to change the DNS settings?

MalteseFalcon 12-03-2015 23:51

Re: The Xbox One Thread

You shouldn't need to put them in again, as long as you don't change back to UK settings. In which case, you WILL need to put the US DNS settings in again.

If you use Unblock-US then you can just change your region instead of messing with the DNS...

Re: The Xbox One Thread

Yup, much easier to use Unblock-Us' Netflix region switcher than keep altering the DNS settings. It also means you can switch to Netflix regions other than just the US and UK.

How would that help me for watching on the Xbox one and is it free? :)

Re: The Xbox One Thread

https://www.unblock-us.com/

It costs $4.99 per month, or $49.90 a year, but is IMO well worth it if you want to watch more than just Netflix UK.

The region switcher on the website means that if you want to go back to Netflix UK from Netflix US (or vice versa), you don't need to touch the DNS settings on the Xbox (or whatever device you use them on) - you just change regions on the website. It also opens it up to other Netflix regions such as Canada and various ones in Europe etc.

Yes, it costs a small amount each month, but it's an established company with a good rep. There's no way that I'd use some random anonymous DNS settings found via Googling or whatever.

I've used Unblock-us now for around 2 years. Minimal amount to pay each month for the chance to watch other regions. You touch the settings once, to put the DNS settings from Unblock in, then use the website to change the region as and when you want to change it.

New users get a week free as well, so worth a try.

Re: The Xbox One Thread

Think I will stick to how I do it now as I don't want to pay for it as already paying for newsgroup access and it all adds up.

Hopefully I won't need to change the DNS too often.

For anyone interested, that's £33.84 per year or £3.38 per month :) at the moment, as the exchange rate can change
