Yeah they are advetising Sky Sports News HD only on Sky.

Sounds good, sooner or later every channel will have a HD channel.

Ah well, I was hoping that VM would launch the basic Sky HD channels in time for Sky Sports News HD. Guess we'll have to wait a few months then.

on the subject of sky sports hd, it seems carling cup footy will be on SS3..if i remember righty, this was on ss2 last season...

Interesting news about the VIP package. Never really considered getting it as always thought it was too expensive but then checked a bill (never really checked before due to laziness and its my mums bill) but am
Currently paying 92.69 which is fairly close to the VIP price a kind poster told me.

I'm more intrigued by getting the movies for an extra 5 quid to be honest than the hd channels. Been on virgin for 10

Another sneaky move by Sky, they have done this so VM customers don't get Soccer Saturday in HD.

I'd expect both soon as they are both Sky basic channels

It might be down the fact Sky won't let Virgin adverstise these channels when they signed an agreement recently for the hd channels

If we don't get SSN HD on the 23rd i'd expect it to launch at some point this year. Remember Five HD launched and there was no prior announcements from VM untill the day it went live so they may suprise us but i doubt it.
