For £79 a year course they will.

But that's the 'basic cable' equivalent price - they already offer premium subs on top of that in the US which are coming to the UK too.

Said it before, but Amazon are a far bigger threat to the pay TV providers than Netflix. http://www.videonuze.com/article/ama...gram-this-year

I don't dispute that but in my opinion if it makes a play for sport it will test the water in its home country to start with.

If you actually read my posts me and 1andrew1 had a discussion on this a while back , I agree with your point however I can't see it within the next 5 years here personally.

I think both are a threat, to be honest. Both companies are able to outbid Sky, if they want to go down that route.

They are a threat in that they have the monetary clout to take on Sky over movies and sport.

Whether they choose to do so is another matter.

Not sure if it's all available on Now TV but Showtime's new series 'Billions' is available in its entirety on Sky Boxsets.

I have to say if you do some ordering through their shop, its well worth it.

Amazon don't pay their taxes, treat their staff like crap and are total *****, but no one else other than Amazon has ever been able to deliver something either on the same day, early the next, or on Sunday evenings.

Are you saying it is not worth it for the TV streaming side as it has been a while since i moved over to Netflix, but i am now annoyed with Netflix seeing we can only get the UK version which i think is poor compared to the USA one?

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services

59 quid for the streaming is a good deal, I think. If you use their shop, its a VERY good deal.

This is why Amazon have got into streaming as they are trying to do with tv what they have done with shopping. Which is why they are also keep bringing out these offers for Prime.

If I do online shopping, beyond food, I generally don't bother with anyone else but Amazon. They are THAT good. And they're now trying to do the same thing with tv. YOu go to them for tv and no one else.
