I'm no expert, but the pixellation sounds like a signal issue. I expect VM are using frequencies they've never used before (for digital, anyway) and with the best will in the world they can't make sure that they're receivable, without changes, at the millions of ends of many thousands of miles of cable.

I'd say call VM - it could be a simple fix like boosting your power.

Sam

:( Glad I didn't rush out and by an obsolete HD TV set! :(

Cinema yes in the home no. This will flop for 2 main reasons.

1. Current finances for the majority of people
2. Having just getting the public to buy HDTV its to early to push a new tech involving big expense

So basically wrong time for this. I don't fancy having to have 3d glasses all over the show. For me anyway 3d is for going out to not an everyday thing

acutally the 3d tv means you dnt need glasses, i have seen some tests of it basically the telly does the 3d part but it still quite poor it will be a good 5-10 years before ti ready so i agree it will fail but not because of glasses :)

I tend to agree, in the present financial climate, even next year, embarking on a new technology of this magnitude does seem to me a little premature.
HD is still in its infancy in the UK and the vast majority don't even have that at present, so apart from a few "must have techies" I don't see Sky's customer base rushing out to buy 3D-TV's, which as none are even avaliable at present I imagine will cost an arm and a leg when they are in the shops.
Could it be this announcement today by Sky was their way of putting the mockers on VM's free HD channel launch today.;)
