Linear TV won't be allowed to die. The likes of Talking Pictures will keep digging it up and trying to breathe life into its rotting corpse...

Different company (Liberty Media).

Is it not john malone who owns both companies?.If he does it's not unheard of for profits of one company to help subsidise the other.Or am I completely wrong?.

He controls both companies but both have a majority of external shareholders and are separately listed on stock exchanges. So, you can't move money between the two companies as the owners (shareholders) of the companies concerned would be unhappy!

... yes, but, this is John Malone... Mr "I don't pay tax on anything" Malone....

F1 has to be paid for by someone and it ain't coming out of Malone's pockets.

He's offering shares in Liberty to F1's owners CVC, offering shares in F1 to the teams plus obviously Liberty Media is splashing some cash. http://www.forbes.com/sites/csylt/20.../#3a517e1643f8

Rumour: Has Discovery Acquires TruTV slots on Sky and Freeview from Turner Broadcasting System Europe?

Digital Spy Forum is reporting that Discovery Shed +1 and Discovery Home & Health +2 are now testing on Sky.

Media Boy HQ feels the EPG Slots maybe coming from:

1) Sky PLC has sold two Sky Cinema Box Office Slots to Discovery.
2) Turner Broadcasting System Europe has sold TruTV slots to Discovery.

If it number two then TruTV will close in the coming months.

THIS POST IS JUST AN RUMOUR.
