I take this as a measure of confidence from Sky that they can go against the BBC. Sky's coverage has come a long way in a very short space of time and they deserve credit for sticking with Simon Lazenby after what was a truly awful start. But, as I said earlier, the BBC's coverage is still decent, and streets ahead of most of the rest of the world, with the possible exception of France. Sky have definitely got themselves ahead though.
