I absolutely accept that but the person reporting this has given no detail and hence you cannot accept the pronouncement as fact. It could be many other reasons for this un-described failure.

It got stuck in the starting up cycle and would loop and make the bonging noises. I would guess the update was sent out at around 6.30am as it woke us up. We switched off the box for around 8 hours while at work and still no joy. Engineer out this morning and yes it was Netflix that bricked it. My other Tivo box is working fine. Would like anymore detail?

No update in St. Ives (Cambs) that I am aware of, annoyingly Peterborough are only abut 15 miles away. Doubly disappointed today though, HTC started the roll out for Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5 yesterday. No update for my HTC One yet either. :'-(

You have got the software. Not every screen is HD.

Should have finished the job then!

Unfortunately that's down to TiVo themselves

Even on their brand new Roamio in the US, not everything is in HD yet.

Thank you. Sorry to doubt but so many people come on here and make claims with little or no evidence. You never hear from them again when questioned, unlike yourself who returned and explained.

Excellent job, Virgin Media, for giving this customer such a quick reaction to resolving this issue.

PS I too have the new software level - it's excellent.

All areas should be updated by end of week if everything goes to plan.

Granted, accept not a VM issue but Tivo themselves should really do all the screens we can see, not just those we most commonly go to, which was the priority I guess.

Other than that, the new software update seems fine and happy with it.

My parents box got updated yesterday and they couldn't connect to VM , after checking it turned out to be a fault in the area as both the TV and BB were down pretty much all day.

Yes, got it this morning, Spiderplant. Had a quick look before going to work this morning and I'm VERY impressed. Far better to have this choice of content rather than the additional channels Sky have to offer that we don't receive.

Had a quick look also at the planned recordings screen, and this is much better. We now have the PIP on this menu (it used to disappear) and it is a much improved screen.

This has transformed everything, thank you Virgin Media!

Just Sky Atlantic to get now and everything will be complete for me!:):):)
