As much as I like cycling, I think Murray's win is far more significant for the British public, and he's at least as deserving of a knighthood as a result.

Being accurate 2 Scots, a South African and a Londoner won the Davis cup.

Re: Tennis

Would they have won without the Scots? No. Hence, Scotland won the Davis Cup not Britain.

They would have lost in the very first round if James Ward hadn't beaten John Isner of the USA. A player ranked way above him, all of the Murrays opponents where much lower ranked players so in my book James Ward is the stand out player in this teams success. :p:

Well Andy Murray has certainly got a better chance now of landing Wimbledon this year now.

He's currently throwing that away after spectacularly falling apart on centre court. The same awful attitude that will keep him from ever being a proper world number 1 is on display.

Recovering now but the same old signs with Murray have shown themselves today.

Re: Tennis

Yes just because Djokovic has gone out some seem to think Andy Murray only has to turn up to win Wimbledon again but as we know things never work out that way.

He won in the end though, 6 - 1 final set.
