Benzema would definitely be a great signing, but will Madrid let him leave? Maybe if they get Suarez or another striker but i think its unlikely. Di Maria will be good if he learns to stay on his feet like Ronaldo has.

We know Mourinho isn't a big fan of Mata's and they will have Willian, Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Mata and Moses all in pretty much the same positions. I expect Moses will leave, i wouldn't rule out Mata going as well, especially if it means they get Rooney.

adzii_nufc 22-08-2013 20:31

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

Mata is one of the best players in the league and probably the best guy to have in your team to create chances, Mata alone is worth more than Rooney. Manchester United would be laughing if they got both Mata and money for Rooney.

Eriksen is a completely different type of player to Willian though. I can't see why Spurs would be interested if the rumours of Bale going are true and they're looking for a replacement. I think Eriksen will sign a new contract at Ajax and stay for at least another season until he can get a move to la Liga.

Mourinho today has said he won't sell Mata, but also confirmed Willian will join Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if he can keep all those players i listed before happy. 6 players all good enough to be first teamers filling 3 positions :erm:

You miss the point, they are all good enough to be first team players. For example each one would walk straight into Arsenals starting line up and probably be their best player ;) None of them would be considered 'squad players' or back up for better players which is what most sides have.

No I haven't missed the point. 2 players for each position. Whats the point having no competition? I'm an Arsenal supporter. I know about competition and the lack of it.

Yes, but the point i was making is its going to be tough to keep all of those players happy, which is why they may think about selling one, especially if it helps them strengthen the part of their squad that needs most attention.

I doubt United would accept a deal involving Mata let alone Moses, we don't need another average winger, we have plenty already ;)

im looking at it from a clubs points of view, its always a long season, injuries, needing to rest players, suspensions. youre looking at it from a players point of view.

Utd wouldn't seriously consider Mata? are you nuts. remember Wenger wanted him to replace Fab then went for Santi.

Yes i am looking at it from a players view obviously, as i keep saying they will have a job on keeping them all happy. Mourinho has a track record of falling out with players, i can see the same thing happening at Chelsea with the number of high value players all in the same position. As i said before, they have the option of using one of them to get Rooney, it wouldn't be a disaster if they did because of how many players they have.

Its not a case of not considering Mata, its a case of just not selling Rooney to Chelsea no matter what.

Cabaye out today for whatever reason. Despite not receiving another bid we see fit to let him have another day off. Tiote also expected to be out. No midfield worth a damn with a shocking defence.

West Ham will come away with at the very least a point here.

Yes, might say a win for the hammers, though they are poor away from home.

I agree re cabaye, i would play him..if he wants a move, he would be in the desplay window, so might play better.

Unless Newcastle are worried he might get injured, and they want to seel (which i get the feeling they do, or ashley at least wants)

Graham Hunter says Utd want Ozil

So many #United fans asking about Özil that despite the abuse I got for reporting the club's market earlier this summer, here's what I know
https://twitter.com/BumperGraham/sta...19764003475456

#Özil not happy at the threat of Isco and #Bale to his place. Özil's father is actively seeking to place him in the Prem. #United

#Özil however an initial approach to #United one week ago, brought no encouragement at all. Don't know if that has changed, but doubt.

Don't worry the crisis is only at United for one night before moving over to Merseyside. I feel like the BBC now...using the word crisis whenever a team loses.

And how much it pains me to say it we will loose there as well and Liverpool will win. Will not be a good season for us this year and i said that since SAF said he was retiring

More like poor play as well. City's defending was poor

Because they haven't had silly money thrown at them in an attempt to buy success.

Are they? I thought they were bought by Glazers. And run in a sterling fashion.

I'm surprised City still didn't go through with this. Begovic is a much better keeper than Hart.

Hart has been poor. But not sure if uncertainty lies with lack of confidence with defense. Or at least it doesn't help

I think hes just bought into his own hype too much. He had a good season in 11/12 but since then he has been poor to say the least. Having no competition for his place for both City and England probably doesn't help.

With Bale on his way back to London, l have a feeling that the interested club/s that are challenging Real Madrid for his signature.

I believe they could be Chelsea, with them prepared to offer a player plus cash. Or its Manchester United that has come in and has asked Levy for Rooney plus cash.

We all know that Rooney is unhappy at United, and only stays on the bench Any other. I don't think its City, despite all their money.

Any other idea's.
