Apparently Anelka has just walked out on West Brom and said he's retiring :spin:
|
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Apparently his agent has died and it has hit him hard and his walkout was not a hissy fit just him upset over the death of a friend.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Its not true. His agent has died and hes taken it badly, but hasn't retired. Hes been given compassionate leave.

Benzema would definitely be a great signing, but will Madrid let him leave? Maybe if they get Suarez or another striker but i think its unlikely. Di Maria will be good if he learns to stay on his feet like Ronaldo has. |

Interesting move. Does that mean they will sell Mata? Put him in the deal for Rooney possibly?

We know Mourinho isn't a big fan of Mata's and they will have Willian, Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Mata and Moses all in pretty much the same positions. I expect Moses will leave, i wouldn't rule out Mata going as well, especially if it means they get Rooney. |
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Mata is one of the best players in the league and probably the best guy to have in your team to create chances, Mata alone is worth more than Rooney. Manchester United would be laughing if they got both Mata and money for Rooney.

Mourinho today has said he won't sell Mata, but also confirmed Willian will join Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if he can keep all those players i listed before happy. 6 players all good enough to be first teamers filling 3 positions :erm: |
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
2 options for each position? most clubs have that. why dont Utd ask for Moses, I'm sure they would consider it.

You miss the point, they are all good enough to be first team players. For example each one would walk straight into Arsenals starting line up and probably be their best player ;) None of them would be considered 'squad players' or back up for better players which is what most sides have. |

Yes, but the point i was making is its going to be tough to keep all of those players happy, which is why they may think about selling one, especially if it helps them strengthen the part of their squad that needs most attention. I doubt United would accept a deal involving Mata let alone Moses, we don't need another average winger, we have plenty already ;) |

Cabaye out today for whatever reason. Despite not receiving another bid we see fit to let him have another day off. Tiote also expected to be out. No midfield worth a damn with a shocking defence.
West Ham will come away with at the very least a point here. |

I agree re cabaye, i would play him..if he wants a move, he would be in the desplay window, so might play better. Unless Newcastle are worried he might get injured, and they want to seel (which i get the feeling they do, or ashley at least wants) |

With Bale on his way back to London, l have a feeling that the interested club/s that are challenging Real Madrid for his signature.
I believe they could be Chelsea, with them prepared to offer a player plus cash. Or its Manchester United that has come in and has asked Levy for Rooney plus cash. We all know that Rooney is unhappy at United, and only stays on the bench Any other. I don't think its City, despite all their money. Any other idea's. |
