Just registered my interest to beta test Titanfall, i don't expect to get in the testing but you have to be in it to stand a chance! This is a link that some people received in an email so not sure if it'll work now it has been spammed on the interwebs!

It looks great! Can't wait to play it, i do wish we could have more than 6 human players per team though, but Respawn say they have tested other numbers and 6 came out the best.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
I played Titanfall at the Eurogamer Expo in September. It was awesome, despite the "low" number of players.
6 human players per team, each with their own Titan. The Titans can be human piloted or can be left to AI control (they can follow you, or guard a location, etc.) Plus there are 12 AI characters per team. Info here: http://www.polygon.com/2014/1/9/5292...s-including-ai |

Anyone want Call of Duty: Ghosts for just over 30 quid?
Call of Duty: Ghosts Xbox 360 and Xbox One Digital Combo - £30.63 at Amazon UK Digital combo for both platforms, no disc (so no resale). You need to redeem the code via a 360 (or via Xbox.com) first. Once that has been done, it shows up as free in the Xbox One Store. |

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Yup, same here :)
The only reason I'd buy Ghosts would be to give the SP a go, as I have no interest in the MP... but SP only isn't, to me, worth paying £30, even though it's a lot cheaper than the official price. A good deal for anyone who wants to play the MP, though. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
i would like some £30 game deals on other Xbox one games really. :)

i heard there is 10 quid deal if u have 360 versions don't know if it still on as i'm hopeing to get games i have on 360 the xbox one versions

People had issues redeeming the code. This is just people getting a code that actually works.
|
I got the game on day one but as i didnt get the pack assumed it was just for the disk version

I remember it said I had to scan the code twice on the digital day one version.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
We'll I'm watching a Blu Ray and so far no issues with 24Hz since update. To me seems as the Lip Sync issue has now been resolved

I had been avoiding using the Xbox One for Blu-rays anyway, due to the lack of Dolby Digital. But tonight my wife wanted to use it to watch one of her BDs (Dreamgirls :( ) because she's fed up with the PS3's noise. There's a particular musical number with a long circular tracking shot. Perfect for noticing judder. And it *really* juddered...It was awful, extremely noticeable. I was worried it might be my nice new TV, so as a test I took the disc out and stuck it in the PS3 instead and skipped to the same scene... Perfect. No judder, just a nice smooth circular tracking shot. Both consoles have 24Hz enabled, and both had the same settings on the TV (with LG's various DNR and other processing disabled). The PS3 handled 24Hz as it should, whereas the Xbox One was terrible. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
strange. I have played two blueray movies on my xbox one, no issues.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
The new BF4 patch has left my game useless, as most of the sound is now missing on multiplayer, ie explosions, gunshots, running, talking, the only sound i hear is the background music if i crank the volume right up, even loading the game or restarting the console doesn't fix it!. The sound was fine for the first 3 seconds after the update then zilch!
Anyone else getting this issue? ---------- Post added at 16:55 ---------- Previous post was at 16:11 ---------- I am making some progress, if i go into a game of TDM via the server browser most of the sound is missing, although when i tried this on a Conquest map it all worked. If i go in through the Quick Match option all the sound always works! ---------- Post added at 17:11 ---------- Previous post was at 16:55 ---------- Edit Quick Match doesn't always work! |

EA know there is an issue and are working on it.

People have been saying the graphics look brighter in BF4 and I think I agree.
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I had a quick play last night...used quick match (as always). Didn't see any sound problems.

One niggle if I have been watching TV and want to play on the X1 and say "Xbox On" it turns the XBox on and the TV off. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Quote:
The TV remote command for on is the same as off. The Xbox One thinks it's turning your TV on, but because it is already on it turns it off. MS probably don't consider it an issue, as they want you to do *everything* via the X1 and so assume the TV will never be on without the X1 also being on. There is a setting to disable the TV control, so that "Xbox On" only turns on the X1. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I haven't had that issue even though it will turn my TV on when it's off... It sounds like it may not of detected your TV properly or it wasn't calibrated properly.
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I doubt it's to do with calibration.
The remote code for on is the same as for off. That's why TV remotes, Sky remotes, etc. only have one single power button - the code is the same for both functions, and the remote itself never knows if the device is already on or off, it just sends the same code. Just like a remote, the X1 does not know if the TV is already on or off and simply send the same power code. If the TV is on, it turns off. If the TV is off, it turns on. |

Try quitting your game and then turn party chat on. I've had issues like that before. Not having it turned on by default is a very idiotic decision. One of many that MS has made...

They are not saying what is fully coming so I hope Media streaming is need so I can see videos on my X1.
They also need to sort the HDMI thru port out as I would need to keep my X1 on to what TV via it, which is a waste of electricity. |

I still get awful judder, especially if the disc has been paused / forwarded / rewinded / skipped... It loses it... Xbox Support says to turn 24Hz off as a workaround... which of course causes judder itself due to the 1080p24 content then being output at 60Hz instead of 24Hz. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
Just out of interest, I have been having issues with my one over the past 2 weeks.
The most annoying issue is that I have the sound going via hdmi to my onkyo amp. If I leave the xbox in the menu for 5 mins or so, the screen goes dim. When I go to resume using the xbox, the sound effects are gone and its all cracking noises and even in menu music in games is just crazy noises. When I restart the xbox, its fine. It just annoying having to reset it 4 times a night now lol. Any else had anything similar? |

Lack of Dolby still sucks for those with surround sound headsets (or AV receivers!), but this adapter at least means you can use your Turtle Beach or Sharkoon headset for chat as well as game audio. What I find the most interesting is that the adapter doesn't just enable you to use 3rd party headsets for chat, it *also* enables you to use 3rd party headsets for game audio via the controller (like the PS4's DS4). I like the idea of being able to plug any pair of headphones into the controller to get game audio. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I've moved the most recent Titanfall posts to their own thread in the main gaming forum, as we're getting closer now (plus have the beta this weekend), so it's worth it having its own thread (plus of course it's also on 360 & Windows).

My X1 has reset the NATS to Restricted ---------- Post added at 22:44 ---------- Previous post was at 22:31 ---------- Might have to set up port forwarding on my router to resolve this in the morning. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
You could just give your X1 a fixed IP address of say 192.168.0.100 and then put that address in the DMZ of the Superhub, reboot and your done.
I found port forwarding a bit flaky but in most cases a reboot of the router then xbox normally sort it all out. Apologies if I'm suggesting you should suck eggs :) |
