I personally would actually be ****ed off if they replaced ESPN with Sky Atlantic on the XL package.

I'm a football fan and will be sorry to lose ESPN but to be honest I would have swapped it for Sky Atlantic at any stage as I believe I would get much more entertainment from that than the odd decent Premiership game that ESPN had.

Obviously all customers have their preferences but I reckon SA would probably get higher viewing figures on VM than ESPN did the majority of the time.

Like I said before, it'll be an interesting month ahead....

I'm guessing they're keeping 119/120 free for Sky Atlantic considering the amount of time they've had to move the appropriate ITV channels there.

I was onto cancellations at Virgin and i explained to them that i was leaving due to the fact that there was no ESPN come the end of July. I was then told that a advertisment campaign would be rolling out in the next few weeks saying that BT sports would be coming to Virgin and free with the XL package. Has anybody else been told this....

Alright HD Boy?

I have spotted the VM plant and claim my £10 prize!

Similar to the VM web page that appeared then went again, a kind of viral marketing to retain customers that can be claimed wasn't officially from VM :D

Shame then that immediately afterwards someone who works for VM immediately said 'nope' - obviously can't get their act together....

IMO VM have definitely got their act together this year and what one person did or did not say on the telephone is hearsay...

Cancelations do have a habit of saying what the customer wants to hear.

I would imagine that the Premier League would have something to say over the second largest TV audience not having access to their games. The sponsors will be kicking quite heavily if they knew the numbers viewing were reduced.

A friend of mine was told the same,it appears at the moment vm are trying anything to tie customers into new contracts,my recent problems with vm mobile are proof of that.:(

Well ESPN got away with low audience figures for years, the take up on Sky was virtually non existent when it launched.
