I do know that carriage negotiations have started again between VM & Freesports- no idea about what stage they are at though.

I don't know if others saw my post on another thread but this was a webpage about the V6 on offer due to the price rise. It actually mentioned BT Sport in 4k. The virgin team on the community forums said it was a mistake and was removed but it doesn't look like a mistake to me and could be a leak that it is coming soon.

It also mentions a new app called Virgin TV Go which will finally allow streaming over 3G or 4G.

Den, really? The number of times that we have thought "good" stuff was coming only to find out it was another friggin cookery channel or some other rubbish, or maybe even nothing at all, this has been happening for years!

Perhaps a new Asian channel combining Bollywood singing and dancing with the preparation of delicious Tandoori cuisine. Such an awesome channel would obviously need at least one DNP order. ;)

There is some info we can reveal:

1) Virgin Media UK are in talks with an broadcaster.
2) New Channels may launch (Still not testing).
3) Virgin Media UK are testing something - hope to launch by 2018.
4) Rumours about more new channels (Trying to get names confirmed).

You make it sound good, MB, but if these channels you are referring to are the usual dross, then it's nothing to get excited about.

Talks with a broadcaster and testing something sound promising...let's hope it's not just a tease.

Surely one of these new channels will be Freesports.

What a shame. So short sighted. Cable viewers will access Amazon whether VM make it available on their boxes or not.

Virgin might have to change their tune fairly sharpish if Amazon land some Premiership rights.

UHD will arrive on vm early next year, discovery has been mentioned to us.
The content will be exclusive for full house and above packages.

Yes, 2018 has been mentioned before, although I had hoped that it would come this autumn.

Well, if Amazon do win the rights, look forward to getting your football in UHD, and having the choice of different packages at different prices so everyone can participate in the viewing (if they like watching the game, that is).
