I don't think so - you need to provide your Sky viewing card number to authorise streaming (or subscribe to streaming).

Thanks - I have other devious methods just in case

Yes you can. That is my current set up - BB and Phone from VM @ £18.09 and the FULL Sky TV package (half price for the 2nd year running!) for £40.50

Every offer I see on VM site they want £16.99 just for the 'phone, is there something I'm missing? I'm out of contract in a few weeks so really interested in deals. I have Sky package at 50% off but the 'phone + BB is the killer. Can't find anything under about £45pm (anytime calls included). I'm seriously looking at BT for that price which includes all their sport in HD + a number of other channels.

rememeber that email sent out as a survey asking what we would like etc like free netflix or on demand movies and sky atlantic etc? it appears our price hikes were to fund the survey and nothing else....

Yes you can mate Sky will ask you if you want their broadband just tell them you only want tv as you're happy with your current broadband provider.

The £16.99 is the line rental...they must make a fortune from this

My phone is only weekend calls. I initially wanted to cancel the TV and the phone line. The price that I was quoted was £19.99, after a loyalty discount was applied, for the standalone 50Mb BB. I agreed with this and asked them to go ahead with the termination of the other 2 services. 2 days later I received a call from VM with an offer that if kept the phone line they could reduce my bill to £18.09, again with a loyalty discount applied, obviously I took them up on this offer. I don't need a phone line really as I have a contract mobile and get unlimited calls/texts etc with that.

Nothing as it isn't illegal, it is a grey area but the worst that happens is the sites such as abc,hbo etc block proxies the smart dns providers simply work around this with fixes, this is why i stand by saying a paid vpn/smart dns is always much safer than a free one.

unotelly is best there is nothing illegal about them so should be fine but might need to start a new thread though so as to not take this of topic if mods give all clear.

You'd be mad not to take them up on that - effectively you're paying £1.10 for BB & weekend calls. Wonder if they'll offer that to me in a few weeks time - can't even win a tenner on the lotto so doubt it.
