Imo it's as relevant today as it was 20 years ago due to the lack of explanation and perhaps justice the families have received, with luck season 2011/2012 will rectify that.

It's an issue relating to the world of football which has arisen in the 2011/2012 season. Sometimes we have other threads, such as the death of Gary Speed, but this doesn't really warrant another thread.

I fear all our bid will do is force other higher ranked clubs to show their hands

WEST HAM have made a £6million bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...m-Jelavic.html

The petition ended up with 115 000+ signatures in the end btw...

Yes l suspect you are right about someone coming in with a higher bid for Jelavic and great news regarding the petition when at one stage it seemed it was not going to reach the figure required.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes Arsenal could still win the Premier League this season.

Rooney says the fifth-placed Gunners have the ability to produce a sequence that could threaten the two Manchester clubs' hopes of securing the title.

"I certainly wouldn't write Arsenal off, they're capable of going on a big run," he told the BBC. "You can't write them or Chelsea off.

"It's great for the league that there are so many teams that can win it."

United face Arsenal in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Sunday with Arsene Wenger's men 15 points behind leaders Manchester City with 17 games remaining.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has confirmed he will remain at Stamford Bridge until at least June.

Drogba, who has scored 98 goals in 217 games for the Blues, had been strongly linked with a move to Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.

But the 33-year-old has confirmed he will not move in this transfer window.

Good day of football ahead followed by a super Sunday.

If Newcastle beat Fulham they move above Arsenal into 5th requiring Arsenal to beat Manchester United on Sunday to retake that position. If Chelsea fail to win, Newcastle will be a point behind them. Liverpool could take advantage of a Newcastle slip and jump over them as they play Bolton away (ESPN). A relegation match between QPR and Wigan is also an interesting game.
