We have our first snow of the season. Thankfully not at our level, you have to go up above about 750 metres for it. This is a grainy little camera phone pic, taken with far too little daylight, but it shows Ben Lomond on the right and Beinn Narnain on the left.

I realise it isn't anywhere near as disastrous as the rain and high tides that have wrecked havoc in other parts of the country but it's snowing in my little corner of Manchester.

Snow on the hill opposite us. That's the latest we've had our first snow for years. I'll post a photo later today, when it's daylight.

Well if we listen to the MO we are in for a pretty mild winter but of course if you listen to the DM and DE then we are in the for coldest winter for 200 years and we are all doomed.
