sounds like it was hard work :(

It was a hunch that paid off :) it could easily have been 9 quid down the tube had it been the wrong one which is a place I've been to a few times before in the process of trying to find it. The irony is that it's a very sad story as the poor bloke was born in a grubby Manchester backstreet in Ancoats then died as a result of TB in Walton infirmary just 27 years later.

I need to amend that and say 'drink-in the experience'. That's what I was meaning to say :)

:dunce: As I didn't know what your post meant Hugh I Googled it and still don't know :D but I did see that, in certain circles, it means "I am passing gas." So, just in case, commiserations to your family. :D

My happy thought is that I am at long last sat on the patio, in the sun, watching the hover flies and butterflies flitting about around the crab apple blossom and that, with luck, my blood results will be back to more reasonable levels when I am tested tomorrow.

Oh and I hope Derek is OK after doing the marathon, I guess he will have finished by now so my Good Luck wishes are a tad late. If it's been as warm down in London as it is up here in Manchester it will have been an uncomfortable run.
