... and then you would have to actually get the guns off people, which would turn into a bloodbath ...

Biden doesn't want to ban weapons anyway.

He knows he wouldn't succeed anyway. I can't see that happening anytime this century, to be frank.

This was in the Telegraph "Beyond Brexit Bulletin" today - not sure if it's meant to be funny or serious...

1. Biden "really cares about" the UK
Ted Kaufman, who has been heading up the Biden transition team, made clear in a rare BBC interview last November that Biden will not hold a 'grudge' against Johnson over his apparent closeness to outgoing president Donald Trump.

The former US senator said Biden "really cares about" the UK and will "want to establish close ties".

Biden's great, great, great grandfather, Edward Blewitt, left Ballina, co Mayo, Ireland for America during the Irish famine 170 years ago, which could mean he is well disposed towards Great Britain.

Our relationship with the USA only matters seriously if we bring to the table something they don't have but which they need.

At the moment, Biden has enough on his hands for the UK to be a distraction/irrelevance if we start getting busy with them.

For an American having a great, great, great grandfather from Ireland pretty much means you're fully Irish. If they have a great great great great grandfather whose brother once met someone whose cousin baked soda bread then they pretty much bring out the shamrocks and start celebrating St Patrick's Day.

New York correspondent Nick Bryant requests “a quick word for the BBC” as the Democratic veteran passes through a crowded room.

“The BBC?” Biden responds, before adding with a smile: “I’m Irish.”

Don't forget his British roots.
Quote:

The great-great-great grandfather of Presidential hopeful , Joe Biden, was born in Sussex.

William Biden was born in 1787 to Joe and Anne Biden.
While the exact location of his birth has never been confirmed, a diary entry from a distant relative, Henry Biden, born in 1834, suggest the family had roots in Westbourne, near Chichester.

He's spoken about it before. But if you want to get elected in America, pressing the Irish button works better than the British one. I'm sure he'll mention it at the G7 Summit in Cornwall over a few Proper Jobs and Doom Bars. (Cornish beers ;))

Trump has left a note for Biden!

Would love to see what it says.
