Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)
Virgin Media Ireland are to open several new channels, including a news channel, a sports Channel and a children's Channel.
I wonder if they will be added to the UK service? http://www.todayfm.com/mobile/index.php?id=25594 |

As Premier Sports wasn't sold recently, I wonder if VM will buy it and rebrand it as their new Sports Channel??

TV3 is now owned by Virgin Media Ireland, which in turn is part of Virgin Media UK. https://www.virginmedia.ie/about-us/...new-md-of-tv3/ LGI (VM's parent) also own part of ITV and other channel providers and producers http://www.theguardian.com/media/201...r-virgin-media http://www.theguardian.com/media/201...ty-global-deal |

I do think it's odd that the primary target of these new channels will be Southern Ireland. Why not give the channels more chance of success (particularly as the genres are already covered in Ireland) by covering the UK and having an Irish version like some channels already do. |
