July 2015.

Thanks mate , looks like 2015 could be a very interesting year for VOD as Netflix are going to take Sky on for movie rights too. I can see it being two tiers Netflix basic (older movies , tv shows) for £6p/m and Netflix premium as Netflix basic but with HBO and newer movies for about £9.99p/m.

It sure is, strangely enough I've not really watched anything on BT Sports either since it arrived.

That's down to being away working, and now working up near home 6 nights a week so a lack of time issue is mainly the cause of that.

I don't think the kick off times help for most people, so far I think BT are playing a blinder but that is their only let down (oh and the lack of opaque dogs, grrr).

I phoned CS a few weeks ago when our free offer was about to run out. Was given another 12 months Premium free without having to argue my case. Might be worth giving them a call?

The cost is not forced on anyone passingbat. The XL pack is full of variety but if you don't want it then downgrade.

I never watch lifestyle stuff but don't moan about those who do. Am pleased BT Sport is included and Virgin played a really good hand getting it.

The price rise was coming anyway next year make no bones about that and we have far far more than we had the last time prices rose.

Personally can't see HBO abandoning its distribution through traditional pay operators anytime soon , I also can't see it going alone with a streaming app considering HBO Nordic has such low subscriber figures.

There seems to be a glitch with Spotify, I added the 3 months free which was due to expire on 12/11/2013, still on Premium today and when I phoned up to ask about it he said that the system had applied a Lifetime premium subscription by mistake and they couldn't withdraw it.

I can see where you are coming from but there are more Sky Subscribers in the UK than there are people who have access to the service. And over here around half a million want access to these shows.

If they were to launch themselves then they would probably have a linear channel as well. But they also love the Sky Atlantic withheld deal because everybody who doesn't have access "most likely" purchases them on DVD and. BluRay with all the money going to them.

However since Atlantic, piracy of HBO shows has increased and this means they may be looking to monotise the people who currently don't have access.
