Very few UK houses have AC. We've never needed it before.

Most houses don't have AC in the UK.

There are only a few weeks of the year I would have liked it because it can get very humid, usually the odd week in August.

At night stick a fan Infront of an open clear window. The cold air will get sucked in and cool your room. Works for me :D

An amber alert for thunderstorms is in place for London and most of southeast England, with forecasters warning of "torrential" rain.

Taste of Carribbean is in Brighton this weekend :( I don't really want to be playing in the mud.

Meant to get thunderstorms in East Anglia yesterday but I did get some heavy rain which was nice, now it's time for the next heat wave ready for my 2 weeks off in August!

I work in a metal warehouse with no AC, it's been hot and humid.

I do 9am to 5:30pm, and only have 1 30 min break, I can only drink water as we handle very expensive stuff (for Harvey Nichols), but we have been given heat breaks if the FLM deem them needed.

It doesn't help when some staff are originally from countries in Africa , and walk about in fleece jackets and wear woolly hats.
