Sounds good, thanks. Who needs TIVO? :D

You need Tivo because you can set it to record Falling Skies right now by adding that specific programme into your wish list! Set record and forget months ahead of a programe, very nice!

Also good to see this is on FX (not Sky Atlantic so competition for good series from the USA is still in place) and just the sort of programme I like.

That is a nice feature indeed , I use Sky's never miss , you set what future show you want and they email you a remote record link the week before it's not let me down yet.

Sounds good, looking forward to it!

Nowhere near as good as Wishlists though as you can only add what it has in it's database; you can add anything to Whishlists and Tivo will pick it up when it airs in the UK on a VM channel

But most shows are on their mate trust me , just means I have to check it , but not a big issue really.

You say most, with whishlists, you can add anything.

With sky, you have to check it with Tivo, you don't, it automatically records them for you, even months or years after you add it.

For people who don't know the details, I was just pointing out that the Sky method isn't as good as Tivo's whishliste functionality, i.e., it's not the equivalent of it.

I don't see your point; of course if it airs on a VM channel; if you have a VM box, you can't get channels that air on Sky but don't air on VM

I suspect this function will be included in a software upgrade along with the recommendation feature that is coming later this year, that's merely speculation though.

Personally I think its not that useful because of the endless trailers we get these days but that's just my opinion.

New series are advertised weeks before so highly unlikely of missing much.

I love the way you you use the phrase "so highly unlikely of missing much"

So close to "You'll never miss anything", which is what applies to Tivo whishlists.

:D

That is of course as long as you watch the adverts and don't skip through like most of us........

I much prefer the add now and forget method. :p:

I cannot see Joe Bloggs sitting down typing in a list of shows with his fiddly remote control to set up his wishlists, or even selecting them from an EPG if that's how it's done.

I doubt it's something the masses have ever craved, I agree it's clever though.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. II.

It's strange that Virgin announce SKY Arts HD 1 and SKY Arts HD 2 then SKY make the following announcement:

http://corporate.sky.com/media/press...s_the_arts.htm

I take it SKY was looking for a way to fund this project and thought time to cash in with those suckers over at Virgin?

Will SKY and Virgin always be in the middle of a PR war?
