Why is there no media coverage about this. If it was over here we wouldn't have a race next season.:erm: |

i still don't see why people are looking at glocks lap time, trulli on the same tyres was 3s behind hamilton a few corners from the second to last lap. By the time hamilton turned into turn 1, trulli was only just coming up to pit straight so if he lost that much ground in such a short distance then i doubt someone still new in f1 would do much better than someone with the experience of trulli |

Not exactly F1 news, but:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle5199172.ece Mrs Slavica Ecclestone has filed for divorce - and some crucial F1 assets are in HER name! |
Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
On a final note to the season, Mark Webber crashed and broke his leg...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/7743308.stm Just because you're good on 4 wheels Mark doesn't mean to say you're good on 2 ;) Let's hope his recovery is swift enough for the 2009 season.. |

No Honda next season, so JB has lost his job

Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
I think more than Alonso would threat to walk away over standard engines. That said the sport would be better off without the Spanish Whingebag.
I was gobsmacked when I saw the Honda news just now. I know they've spent a lot of money but Ross Brawn is incharge. It seems a little crazy from a fans point of view. |

At least currently it's not a dissolution of the team, they're firstly looking for a buyer in early 2009 with an option of closing if no buyer is found.. Though in this recession I wonder who'll take the plunge...perhaps arab money will be forthcoming

Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
Just been having a discussion with fellow F1 fans at work. It's not just a shock Honda have pulled out, but the knock on effect, they also supply some of the other teams with essential parts.
Mosley did say, sometime ago, if two teams pulled out F1 wills top being a competative sport, they idealy want 22 cars on the grid. I think personally that teams now will have to bow down to the pressure about reducing running costs, if only to keep the sport running while the current financial crisis holds sway. |
Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
Worst mistake ever made was to eliminate the Tobacco sponsorship - F1 had a ton of money in those days, and did anyone ever choose to smoke, or to smoke Marlboro, Benson & Hedges or whatever because they saw the name on a F1 car.

Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
again another example of a nanny state.
If people want to smoke they will banning ads won't make them thinl "they've banned ads so I'l stop" I have never smoked and ads never bothered me or made me think I'll take up smoking. I'm far for intelligent than that |

Re: Formula 1 2008 Season
Hi i cant be the only english person to dislike lewis hamilton surely. its not really hamilton that i hate because i did like him when he first came in to the sport but since then ive started to really dislike him mainly because of the comentators and presenters on ITV1 they are so biased towards hamilton i hate it, i really wanted fellipe massa to win the world championship because he is just a nice guy and not big headed at all. he will win the championship next season for sure if he doesnt have as many mechanical failures as last season.
ps. vettle to shine next season |
