i'd hardly call Fergie a violent man. Sure he shouts at people during HT team talks but that is all about creating motivation. Shouting isn't being violent.

I don't think there is any documented edivence of Fergie shouting, throwing tea cups or kicking football boots at people during his normal everyday life away from football.

he's great at man management and he knows if he has to throw a tea cup to get the team worked up and put in a performance then he will.

if he just said oh well we're loosing lads try a bit harder I don't think he would still be at United any more

Who said he deserved it, more of a case of what goes around comes around imo

I'm sorry but what your saying is just stupid, basically what your saying is that if you made a statement that i disagreed with i could assault you because of it. Even if he had assaulted someone, which he hasn't, does that make it alright for someone to assault him?

I think some people read too many articles from the sun or news of the world about Ferguson, it's funny how all the players he's managed have the upmost respect for him, i'm sure they wouldn't if he had assaulted or thrown tea cups at them

Do footballers still drink tea? Or does Fergie have his own stash tucked away to throw?

I've just compiled a list, of all known 65 year olds, in my area. They are all names of pensioners, who are very bad tempered, and have had a previous history of bullying. Now, where's my baseball bat..........

As I said no one has said he deserves it and you call me stupid?

Course I realise you think the sun shines out of his backside, wonder how many people might get hurt because of his ill judged comments about Utd and Liverpool's rivalry and how many people wasted their time trying to build ties between the clubs, btw I get most of news and information from the BBC where do you get yours from United press releases?

Who took the old, error-prone, boring England away in a spaceship and brought out this lot? If this is what happens when Lampard gets injured, we'll have that bloke who kicked Fergie hired to kick Frank whenever he looks like getting up. Barry is superb, why the hell didn't we have him alongside Gerrard before? Perfect man for the role.

Yes if Mclaren has any sense he won't be rushing Rooney and Lampard back into the team

Btw Russ I seem to remember Motty saying the girls name was Sayer something an Australian

I'd forgotten Rooney. He might destabilise it - there's no one playing badly enough to drop for him, surely?

Heskey. I wouldn't say he was bad but hardly inspiring and wouldn't be all that missed IMO.

Heskey has a talismanic effect on Owen, who scores a goal-a-game alongside him. It doesn't matter that Heskey scores 0 at that rate, between them they're an excellent international strike pair. Football isn't all about putting the best 11 players you have on the field, witness Lampard/Gerrard, where the world+dog has known for three or four years that they can't play together.

Yep Rooney and Owen don't play well together either, I used to think that supposed World class players should be able to adapt their game to suit any team mate, the last couple of World cups have taught me different
