I'm not sure I agree with the new groupings (as well as those to come next week). They seem a bit haphazard the way they are mixed as well as the big gap between Bravo and Trouble which I thought they would keep together. I imagine that E! will move elsewhere at some point too.

Do they need the agreement of the channel owner to move it in the EPG?

As far as I know the EPG channel numbers are up to Virgin Media so they (Virgin) just need to tell the broadcaster the few weeks before hand so that broadcaster can tell all the TV Books (Like Radio Times and Whats on TV.) the new channel numbers for that week book.

On the other noted I think Virgin will move Living or Virgin1 so that all the ITV +1 channels and ITV HD can stay together.

Well I think Discovery would be upset if they grouped DMAX in with the other Discovery channels rather than in with the entertainment channels where the target audience for DMAX hang out.

Didn't anyone tell them that it's considered rude to use all capitals because it looks like you're shouting!

234 HISTORY
235 HISTORY+1

Maybe it's intended to grab your attention but I just find it distracting/annoying. Not that I don't have worse things to complain about but what was wrong with nice subtle 'History' and 'History+1'?

It annoys me that it is 'Setanta Sports 1' but 'SetantaSports 2' one word

*pedant*

Actually, to be pedantic, it's 'SetantaSports 1' and 'Setanta Sports 2', at least on my ex-NTL box!

Oh, there are so many of those with things like the spacing in '+1' variants etc. And, in On Demand (or is that OnDemand?), there were two entries for the exact same series ('Close to Home' I think) but with an extra space in one of them.

Now I have to spend the next hour checking my spelling and syntax before I post this. :(

Long live pedantry! :waving:

google toolbar spellchecker lol I did not think you were meant to start a sentence with the word and. However I am awful and only bringing this to your attention for the sake of pedantry living forever ;)

I knew someone would pick me up on that. Strictly speaking 'and' is a conjunction and does not belong at the beginning of a sentence. But (another conjunction), as I recall from school, exceptions are allowed, especially if the 'and' or 'but' is followed by a comma as mine are. This changes the emphasis. I did consider using 'also' but I wanted that emphasis. In the case of 'but', 'however' (or even 'although') would have been just as good.

I'm using Opera as my browser due to its very low resource requirements so I don't have the luxury of Google Toolbar.

With apologies for being very off topic! (Oh, no! A sentence started with a preposition. Will it never end?)
