I wonder then MB would be able to talk about the DNP. Is it imminent is it far, far away.

Interesting times

Well, we know that the Sky channels are coming, and with all the secrecy I think this is highly likely to be what MB is talking about. These channels are expected this autumn, but we don't know exactly when.

Alternatively, the only other really secretive negotiations are likely to be in connection with Premier Sports. This is likely to be broadcasting on VM on Friday.

That's the way I see it, anyway!

Yes it is, but I have had one or two problems recording from Fox lately because their best programmes tend to be on at popular times. So Fox+ would be jolly useful IMHO.

Ginxtv have started their on demand service at the moment it's only a little bit of content on their website but it's looking promising for their on demand content to come to VM in 2014 http://ginx.tv/

Barring winking from some (if not all) nice forum mmembers I have yet to see any evidence that they are coming, are we sure that this is a confirmed rumour from a good source I dont think we even got to that stage yet?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 5.

An new 'Do not post' order was put on me last night at 10pm.

What is Media Boy on about???

New Rumour - means information is from an 'Rumour poster' and as not been confirmed so may not happen.
Virgin Insiders - means just that.
'Do Not Post' order - means an Virgin insider has given me some info on things that set to happen but has told me not to reveal it right now.

Yes, but for how long??? We're all going cross eyed!

I think it's best to believe it all when we see it. If it's not the Sky channels, it is probably no big deal.

Premier Sports Plus used to be on SKY..... I think. It was used for when live sports clashed i.e. NASCAR and NHL being on at the same time. I'm sure Premier Sports gave up the EPG slot earlier this year. It wasn't a full time channel.

Is Now That's What I Call Music launching on Virgin?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...-launches.html

"Now That’s What I Call Music TV channel has launched today, as the Now brand celebrates its 30 year anniversary next month.

The company is best known for its Now That’s What I Call Music! albums, which first hit shelves in November 1983 on double vinyl and cassette.

It has now launched its new TV channel, which will be listed as Now Music, and will appear on Sky 378 and FreeSat 512."

When Virgin "make room" for it apparently. They are quite adament there isn't any space, despite Virgin Media themselves saying there is and that they turned it down!

I don't think I will ever understand that; having to sit through about 20 minutes of add breaks would drive me crazy, If I didn't need to do so.

I you want to finish watching it at the same time as the live showing actually finishes, You can record it and start to watch at 21:18pm. Skipping adds on a US show, which typically has a 42 minute run time, would mean you finish at the same time as the live broadcast.

Have to agree , I never watch anything live with the exception of sport , I also don't understand why anyone would keep a V+ over having a TIVO. I don't watch but I can understand people who want to watch shows like X-Factor , The Voice , Big Brother etc live as you can guarantee someone will tell you who was voted off before you have chance to view.

Eh? Theres plenty of space in the music area of the EPG? Are VM running out of bandwidth to carry channels or something?

I don't think the news will be completely new to us. It will either be Sky channels (MB has tried to put me off the scent), Fox+, Premiere Sports or news of inclusion in the XL pack. That is, PS. Or Netflix.

No Channels has been confirmed as launching tonight - only seen rumours about FOX + and PS maybe launching tonight. http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35...-post1615.html

Only info I have seen is from NOW That's What I Call Music.[COLOR="Silver"]

I have had it confirmed by a VM contact that VM are able to "service new channels" and that "several new channels are in the pipeline".

NOW Music TV continue to erroneously inform people that this is not the case and I am afraid that this could have some detrimental affect on the VM TV business.

That's why I asked Oliver if he had a source that he could link me to where VM openly disputed the claims made by NOW Music TV :)

I can't understand why anyone would pay £5 per month to have a TiVo over a V+. I watch nearly everything live as I discuss it with my friends online at the time. I consider on demand TV to be something that seemed like a good idea in 2009 but has been overcome by changing requirements.

I suppose it's all down to what suits your needs most. Everyone has different tastes in terms of entertainment, and how they access it. From what your saying you clearly don't need TiVo so that £5 is better in your pocket.

Is it £5 more expensive though ?

All VM collections generally save you money according to many posters who've upgraded on here and the TIVO fee is included.

I pay £3 on my account for TiVo and this is per account not per box as they sold it that way for a while. I have 2 x TiVos

Exactly. I know some deaf people who can only watch live or recorded TV, because VOD doesn't have subtitles.

As you were told the last time you came into this thread making such derogatory remarks:

'If that is your view, this thread clearly does not meet your needs and it may be a good idea to neither read nor contribute to it'.

You graciously did for some time, what's changed? (or are you simply gratuitously trying to stir up trouble?)

Do you have a source to back this up statement from VM? (I want to show it to somebody).

I don't have a link but it was a reply to someone on the Virgin facebook page asking. Someone asked if it was true that they have no space, Virgin said no as they have plenty of great things on the horizon.

Someone posted it on here at the time, also you can call me Ollie aha

I may be reading too much into this but my tivo box is saying that I can't access on demand due to essential works but I've just looked on the VM website and it says there are no issues in my area.. Slightly strange.

Oh, and one of the green lights has been flashing for the last 30 minutes.. Probably a glitch.

BT Sport 1 + 2, ESPN and Premier Sports have appeared on L package. I assume there is some kind of free weekend thing going on.

First Premier Sports appeared, then the other channels.

Because I can't think of any other reason why all these sports channels just appeared on L lol
