Just finished Homeland, watched all 8 seasons in only 16 days! I'm knackered from it!

Is there going to be a season 9?

Nope, it has "ended" (not cancelled) hence the suitable ending and closure whilst leaving it open for a return. There are so many series bring revived these days that I hope in a couple of years time they bring Homeland back. It will have had a sufficient break, given Clare Danes some time with her daughter and given the writers time to come up with a phenomenal story for Carrie working undercover in the KGB or whatever it is now. I think it would be fantastic.

Glad you enjoyed it anyways. I love quality series like this and now it has ended you would think it would be cheap enough for the BBC or ITV to buy for terrestrial viewers. It would put everything else to shame.

It's burnt me out watching all 96 episodes in only 16 days and that is with me still going out for a full days work.

Now trying to get into 12 Monkeys but i am struggling after 4 episodes.

Give it time, it is awesome Snoop. It does get better as it goes. I would actually recommend giving the full first season a chance.

Yeah l noticed it was being shown on ITV4 a couple of weeks ago and l thought thats a series to record as l had not seen it for a fair while.

Superb as did you know that Clannad did the music for other series as l remember a fine series called Harry's Game which they did the music for.

It's good, took me a season to get into it after watching all 96 episodes of Homeland in 16 days, I hope it ends properly.

It does. Arguably it doesn't matter if procedurals get cancelled at any point in the season but when you have series which are all about one big story there is nothing worse than it being cancelled out of the blue. 12 Monkeys "ended" and they knew that in advance of the finale season being produced so nothing was rushed and everything flows and ends perfectly. I was a bit iffy about it in season 1 because I didn't like the film but the more I got into it the more I loved it.

Some of those are scifi and that is by no means a complete list of recommendations, I have missed loads off. You can't go wrong with those though, especially Dexter if you have never seen it.

Really enjoying Agents of Shield on season 2 now but can't watch it quick enough and i am back to work this afternoon!

Its by far a better experience being able to watch all this stuff on a streaming service rather than normal TV which i haven't switched on in 7 months!

Rick Stein's seafood lover's guide. - Food network. He's talking about the Mounts bay pilchards and how they're processed at the pilchard works in Newlyn.

The works are long since gone and been converted into fancy apartments. I wonder if they managed to completely banish the fishy aroma. :erm:

Not watched normal TV since Christmas, for me its Amazon Prime, CinemaHD app, Kodi App so that covers all movies and TV Shows. :)

Nothing is worth the license fee full stop. Disconnect your ariel, cancel the direct debit and sign up to Netflix or Amazon instead. Stranger Things or The Expanse are superb and will keep you going for a while.

Something I didn't know was that the US systematically fire-bombed over 80 Japanese cities with more than 500,000 deaths. More than the two atomic bombs combined. :(

Don't know if I've mentioned this but "The Chosen" is a very well done set of stories about people Jesus met. It is crowd funded and series 1 is available for free. You can either watch on YouTube wrapped in extra material discussing the episode but has subtitles fixed on or download the app and watch from there, you can cast to big screens if you want to and even donate to the making of season 2 - they have already collected the monies for the first 7 episodes, need to finish for episode 8 and $750k for Covid-19 extra costs.

Still watching really strange. Not suprise it was cancelled . Completely missed it first off.
Fedup with hatchet and the alienst. Stil have listed but only watch in small pieces.Any thoughts on a "soft" drama via Netflix .life's to short to watch one two episodes and give up!! Have binged watched peakey blinders, how to get away with murder, blacklist so that sort of thing. Also anything from Dick Wolf. :D
