I've not bothered keeping up to date with what has changed with the VIP package since I got it (ages ago), but recently I got the 1TB tivo box and decided to have a poke about.

So basically you get the sky premium HD and 50mb included (I'm on 20mb) so I ring up to inquire whether I can be upgraded. It'll cost me another £70 for installation and activation of the super hub.

I just forked out £100 for the tivo activation, takes the pith to be honest!

True true, I wouldn't mind paying the activation fee but paying an installation fee for something I could do? There are even instructions for installing the super hub on the VM website! :D

I installed the modem myself when it went from the motorola white block to the slinky small black number, this is no different.

Annoyed.

hmmm.

We currently pay £113.46 for VIP 50 with 2 V+ boxes (not 1v and 1 normal vhd box) + Talk 08 2. (Extra at the time due to wanting a v+ box and not v box) International calls, etc are not an issue.

So we can get VIP 50 with tivo and 1 v+ for 101.46 (10x.46 with Talk 08 2)? We are still under contract can we still change?

Yes you can still change, it would just reset the contract

OK I'm now confused. I noticed V+ box (recordable ones) are not on the website no more.

1. So will I be able to keep one of the V+ boxes or will it be replaced by a normal V box?
2. What if I want two TIVO boxes instead of 1 tivo and 1 v box? Will the monthly price be 101.46 + 9.50 or will it be 101.46 + 3 ?

1) You can keep the V+HD if you want. Remember it's a new Sales site so will be aimed at people who don't have TV already

2) It would be £101.46 + £3 for VIP 50 with two TiVo boxes

Thanks Ben. I'll be upgrading in due course. I have to decide which option to go for! Probably the 2 tivos. (I hate programme clashes!)

My OH spoke to cancellations and after a good 20 mins of gentle haggling we're having our 500gb tivo box installed and activated free of charge and will be paying £102.46 pm.

So we'll have:

XL TV
XXL BB
XL Phone
Sky Premium HD Sports/Movies
500GB Tivo Box
V+ HD Box
V HD Box

So am a happy lady :)

Hi Just phoned up and was quoted 104.46 for both 2 tivo boxes + 49.95 installtion charge. (you just pay one charge appartantly he trippled checked). Is this right?

Since the premier sky hd charge was dropped from per box to per account. Both boxes will receive it automatically right?

I just phoned up again.

Tried to do the above. Was quoted the price above. But then she couldn't do it for some reason.

She then tried again but with 2 tivo boxes and one v+hd box. Again it wouldn't happen, So she said she will speak to one of her managers. 10-15 minutes later she came back and said it was 97.xx for 2 tivo and keep one of the v+hd boxes. I said does that include the phoneline. She said yes thats everything you have with swapping the boxes for tivo and keep one box and move it elsewhere.

She rolled off the services and there are identical to what we have now.

I have a feeling that she forgot about the phone charge. We shall see. (Even if the 13.90 is added it is still cheaper than we pay now and we have another box elsewhere installed). I trippled checked this in the call.

Does it sound like we have been misquoted? Will our new contract (when it comes) show this?

or ..... someone made a mistake .... or is that just too mundane a reason
