Well Fitness First only charges £26.99 per month and there's no contract (although they do require 30 days notice, but so do most that I've talked to)

From what I've heard and gathered just from a quick introductory tour by one of the staff, it seems that FF (no, not Firefox!) are pretty good on this.

I need to get a new MP3 player, my old one seems to have died and the software just goes BSOD when I try to re-install it! :(

Graham: That Fitness First is probably the best deal I think you'll get. You might be able save a few quid, but if the machines there are up to date, i'd take it.

The gym I go to also has a free refridgerated drinking water dispenser which is nice. They also sell bottled water and Lucozade if you are so inclined. It is by the best I found researching and FF doesn't sound too far off that. :tu:

Yep, the stuff all looks "state of the art".

FF offers similar stuff like that and I think you're right that it's probably the best around.

Anyway, we're way off topic here and it's difficult to say what music I'd listen to in the gym because I'd just download a bunch of stuff onto my MP3 player (when I've got a new one!) and flip through that until I get to something I want to hear! :)

I have my whole collection on MP3. For all the individual songs I have, I put them in my "Singles" album. When I fancy a mix, I add that to my playlist on random. Its a bit eclectic to say the least. Today I had amongst others, Manson, Deanna Carter, Sporty Thieves, Dropkick Murphys, Vengaboys.

I normally just queue up a couple of albums I haven't heard in a while.

'With Teeth' is a grower - in my case anyway, the more I listen the more I like it - I think the answer is to stop trying to compare it to any other of the other albums, as I think it's a complete departure from everything else.

Empire by Queensryche seems to be the most played song at the moment. I'm also listening to a lot of Dream Theater too, as usual. Though I'm seeing them at the Apollo in October, woowoo :D

Well, I am currently watching 2001: A Space Odyssey on DVD, and am actually listening to the soundtrack more than watching it. Just watching Heywood Floyd's journey to Clavius base. I am still amazed at how well the visuals fit the music, and the whole thing sounds amazing in 5.1 surround sound..

Surely Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and, er UFO, are missing from that 'I Luv The 70s' list?! :D Mind you I reckon I'm with you on about half of those - like to tap me toes to them whilst supping a half of mild and playing dominoes. :) Age wither me not! Kaiser Chiefs' 'Employment' is a great pop LP - and one for the 'I Luv The 80s' follow up (XTC were better though!). Ricky Wilson is one top front man mind.
