Yep, the studios and US government are leaning on the payment options of providers who allow people to get around geo-blocking.

I'm no advocate of piracy but surely if someone is happy to pay for content and have the knowledge to allow them to do it cutting them off increases the risk of them not paying and getting stuff for free. the only loser here would seem to be the industry not the consumer.

I noticed that a few days ago. The banners have been their for ages. All they have done is added sound. It doesn't affect anything else. Not a problem for me.

Yep not a problem as all they are doing is promoting content from their service and you can pretty much scroll past it.

Probably just covering their backs and stopping netflix etc seeing anything as they used to do a weekly comp for a months free service which featured a lot of Netflix content across different regions.
