Lets hope its the one with extra tuners and storage.

If it's the cloud version, it may not have any recording tuners!

Think they need to resolve the over utilised areas out first before cloud storage becomes the norm ...

Tivo have just launched Tivo Online in the states - online.tivo.com. Some of this is offered though TV Anywhere, but you can watch recordings from your Tivo online.

Bit of a strange one on TiVo this morning. All of my recordings have no sound, anyone else have this problem?

I've tried a reboot but it didn't help, checked the faults page online and it shows no TV problems in my area, although there are phone and broadband problems.

have you got sound on 'live' TV? if not try pressing channel up/channel down.

I seem to recall this fixed loss of sound on TV for me

Thanks for the info, yes, that does work but only temporarily fixes the problem.

I have since found out I have the same issue when pausing and restarting live TV. I have also confirmed this is not a VM issue, I have narrowed it down to my HDMI splitter between TiVo and 2 TVs which I have disconnected for now.

Lots of head scratching as to why the sound cuts out on 5.1 audio on recordings but live TV is fine.

Why does the TIVO have so many menus to navigate for On Demand ? If your wanting to just browse what's available On Demand rather than knowing a certain show its s real chore.

It's a limitation of the VOD system rather than TiVo. You'll find the same menu structure on the Liberate boxes too.

Have you tried the Browse menu (or whatever it's called these days)?

Search and discover > discover tv & movies.

The only (major) limitation is that it aggregates content from all available sources, including those that might not be included in your subscription.

Really? Didn't know that. What happens if you pick something that is not in your subscription?

Probably get a popup asking you to call 150 if you want to add it to your subscription.

Just out of curiosity, have Virgin added a live EPG to the TiVo?

Pretty sure you'll be waiting for a long time. As far as I'm aware TiVo doesn't run a fully live EPG for a number of reasons.

It's designed around receiving periodic updates - the most that can be done is increase the number of times this update is done. This has already been done at least once since VM TiVo was launched.
