So, you just enter one roundabout, exit, go to the middle one and hope you can just slingshot off vaguely in the direction you want?

Actually, I would have thought that from a safety point of view, it's probably best not to confuse drivers.

Obviously, I don't know the traffic in the area, but wouldn't just one large roundabout be better?

I've not been round that one, but the one in Swindon which is very similar

If it were in Warrington then they'd have traffic lights on it as well.

I think they should just have one big piece of tarmac and leave it as a free-for-all.

Now that would be funny!

Rumour has it that some of those cars have been there for months - the drivers are too scared to move any further!

I can see how to use it.The problem arises of what to signal to other drivers as you work your way through and trying to work out what the other drivers are trying to do...

Actually easier to negotiate than you would think.

See how the flow round the central roundabout is reversed.

Probably the same fiend who thought up the one in Hemel Hempstead

Re roundabouts - howzabout Theodor-Heuss-Platz in Berlin. Brits would often take long detours just to avoid this roundabout (trying to navigate across six lanes in rush hour was "interesting").

That seems tame in comparison to the "magic" roundabouts.

You try navigating across six lanes of traffic to get off at your junction, with "no mercy" Berliner drivers - you may change your viewpoint. ;)
