Yup - all that co-ordinated fire-team experience in urban warfare in the ‘Stans would give a significant advantage against a bunch of wannabe weekend Walts.

The US army and secret service is carrying out background checks on the national guard troops due to protect Washington during Joe Biden’s inauguration next Wednesday.

The forces, alarmed by reports that active-duty and reserve military personnel may have been involved in the assault on the Capitol last week, have begun a combined inspection of the 15,000 part-time soldiers.

Any hint that a national guardsman has political sympathies for the rioters is likely to mean an immediate withdrawal from the force, which is being prepared to line the capital city’s streets on January 20.

Quote from Politico: A rehearsal for Joe Biden’s inauguration scheduled for Sunday has been postponed because of security concerns, according to two people with knowledge of the decision.

After last week’s riots in Washington, security officials have locked down the Capitol complex, and the National Guard is expected to deploy more than 20,000 troops to assist with security. Top lawmakers and Homeland Security officials have been alarmed about the rising threats around the inauguration, and the FBI warned this weekend of armed protests in all 50 states.

The rehearsal is now planned for Monday, the people said.

The president-elect’s team has also canceled an Amtrak trip from Wilmington to Washington planned for Monday because of heightened security concerns.

The presidential inaugural committee declined to comment on the changes, and the Secret Service and the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies did not respond to requests for comment.

Yup and this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...207_story.html

A police officer led rioters away at the last moment but it was a matter of seconds that they avoided the Vice President.

That’s what the Secret Service is for...

And, as has been posted before, the 3%ers and Qanon-ers are weekend Walts who spend a lot of time parading their penis extensions, rather than being a real threat...

Quote:

American Thinker and contributors Andrea Widburg, R.D. Wedge, Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on www.AmericanThinker.com that falsely accuse US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation (collectively “Dominion”) of conspiring to steal the November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion’s supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion’s machines that resulted in massive vote switching or weighted votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that Dominion acted fraudulently.

These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims.

It was wrong for us to publish these false statements. We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning journalistic principles and misrepresenting Dominion’s track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.

Perhaps Dominion are going to sue them, they're suing Sidney Powell.

Quote:

Coomer, who is Dominion's head of product strategy and security, also filed suit last month against a number of pro-Trump figures, including Powell.

Dominion said Friday that the company may file future lawsuits as well against conservative media outlets and even potentially Trump himself.

"We have not ruled anyone out," said Tom Clare, an attorney representing Dominion. "We are looking very deliberately at the statements and actions of everyone."

This is unlikely.

Really, if you think about it, they are thought of, by the British public, completely differently.

Obviously, this may change in the future.

Like Obama, Biden is seen as less extreme/abrasive than Trump.

Less likely that anyone will crowdsource a blimp lookalike as they did for Trump.
