I slightly disagree, ive been asked it before and never been able to work out why, but surely the adult channels should be after the kids channels? I know you can turn them off but some people don't, im sure MumsNet are up in arms about it...

A Virgin worker in Oldham told me this information today. I expect the rest of the Viacom channels will launch soon after. They at the Virgin kiosk think so, too!

I will be so happy for MTV HD to launch, don't really watch it, I just can't stand the fact that it's so terrible in SD.

It used to be suggested that they used their daytime slot on 5 USA as a gateway onto cable. No real surprise that the channel will be appearing in its own right now that they no longer have the slot on 5 USA.

Didn't 5 USA used to broadcast during the daytime?

It was done in the same deal, just launching these new channels has been delayed, or vice versa they jumped the gun with the numbering.

Thanks John, I thought so, thanks for clarifying that. It seems odd that they are resurrecting a format that they didn't feel worked for them last time and have moved away from calling their channels stupid names that don't give viewers any idea at all about what the channel shows.

This is despite them reporting that "Dave" etc achieved higher ratings after being rebranded :confused:
