Why is Gordon Brown running making speeches as if he is running the country? His party isn't even in power. He had hidden away from everyone including his own constituency and all of a sudden he's making claims he will do x and y will be delivered.

It was a stupid thing to promise and cannot be carried out without support within Westminster who will now be looking to the next general election where the majority of the population get a say.
