I forgot to add the speednet result to my earlier post:
https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2012/10/17.png

Download speed at the time of the hump was around 85Mb/s.

I've been experiencing some buffering (on youtube for example), but otherwise I haven't really noticed anything untoward (I'm not a gamer).

Small little village, UBR is in a small town.. No congestion nor is there any probability of there being any in the future ;)

Lucky you Kymmy.
It seems that the nightly hump has increased in duration. Qas said he's going to look into it. At least he might provide a plausible explanation so that we can baffle the poor Indian CS reps even further as they recite from their script :D

Is there still nothing official from VM on the matter

---------- Post added at 13:08 ---------- Previous post was at 13:04 ----------

I wonder if these issues are connected to VM's new traffic management trial misfiring

Pure speculation of course

Looks like one of the inbound paths from croy-core-2a is buggered. Probably croy-core-1a -> croy-core-2a. It's a minor/small/localized issue

It looks like it is creeping back in again for everybody, here is my latency graph:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/s...4-10-2012.html

This web-page clearly shows it is happening to everyone on Virgin Media:

I'm so glad we didn't go with them for our business leased line!
