Andrew - The ESPN site is wrong, don't take that as fact. It seems that it hasn't been updated with all the correct information since the VM announcement. The second VM press release today clearly states that ESPN HD will show EPL and SPL games. |

Clearly says that in the VM press release, maybe ESPN haven't upgraded there page yet.
The ESPN HD channel will offer live Barclays Premier League and Clydesdale Bank Premier League football as well a wide range of international football and top quality sports. It will be available at no additional cost to Virgin Media’s XL TV customers. Sports fans on Virgin Media’s M or L pack will be able to subscribe to ESPN and ESPN HD for £8 per month if they subscribe to any combination of the Sky Sports channels or £10 per month if not. |

ESPN website still need to update a few things on the website as if you look they have not even added the channel numbers yet so i would say maybe they will update in the next 12 hours or so.
