2 years to the day since season 1 started to drop. *2 years* to commission and produce 8 episodes. Had this been a network broadcast show of 20 years ago, there’d be 45 or more episodes out already and we’d be about to get another couple of dozen more.

It actually didnt really take very long, they only started filming it in May, mostly due [I believe] to the lack of availablity of Jenna.

But that just illustrates part of the problem - in the good old days the network would have contracts with stars of their big new shows with optional clauses to ensure their availability should a second season get green-lit. The fact that they produced a hit and then couldn’t get their star back for 18 months betrays poor commissioning strategy at Netflix, which seems still to be enslaved by an inflexible approach to measuring how and when subscribers view the content. There doesn’t seem to be room any more for the industry experience that can identify a hit and respond quickly.

The site that listed it now seems to have withdrawn it again.
So I guess its not correct, Chris will be even less happy now. ;)

Netflix have confirmed that Stranger Things Season 5 will have 8 episodes, and is set in the Autumn of 1987, no release date yet.

Poppas House and NCIS Origins have been given full season orders.
They join Georgie and Mandys First Marriage which got a full season order a couple of weeks ago.

That seems insane for Stranger Things. Those kids have now become young adults since the last series filmed. How on earth are they going to pull off them only being a year after the previous season? All the kids are in their 20s now let alone still high school age, lol.

Tulsa King is expected to be renewed for Season 3 (and beyond) as Sylvester Stallone is renewing his contract with Paramount+.
