So I'm not quite sure where that suggestion came from, unless someone is aware of plans to schedule different content in the coming weeks.:shrug:

Since TCC moved from COM8 to SDN on Freeview and exchanged LCNs / EPG slots with Blaze, it has started showing A&E sourced content and channel promotions during the 4am - 6am slot rather than simulcasting Community Channels content. So it would appear that someone was indeed aware of plans to schedule different content... interesting!

A strange development for the Community Channel, it will be interesting to see how this develops.

Well got a email telling me my price will go up by £3.99 a month at the end of my deal but they say this

In the new year, the Sky Cinema app will have a new download feature. As a Full House TV customer with Virgin Fibre and Phone, you'll be able to download movies to a compatible device while online, then watch when you like - no need for WiFi, 3G or 4G.

Finally we getting parity with sky but not sky sports or 4k. I think tbe virgin media store has been kicked into the grass as no mention of it

Maybe VM are waiting to see what Sky do with it's upcoming enhancements to Sky Store before launching their own version.

Well, if you can negotiate to bring lots of 4K content to your screen, as well as Sky Atlantic, Virgin Media Store and Amazon, you will have done very well!

It depends on the negotiator if they have one hand tied behind their back before even entering negotiations OB.

Unfortunately, it will take more than threatening to leave VM to achieve what Ddonald wants!

Was the commercially produced content that you mentioned before produced by A&E? Are the promotions for the Community Channel or A&E/Blaze?

It is a surprising situation!

Re: Freesports, Fox News etc.

I wonder if VM could get away with pseudo adding these to the EPG by doing a BBC3? They wouldn't be showing these channels without authorisation, but simply pointing viewers to a publically available internet stream!

I don't think that ITV offer a live internet stream, so if they continue to demand retransmission fees perhaps VM could do a deal with tvPlayer??

Not that I'd want to encourage this as we wouldn't be able to record anything.

Edit: I can't find a live stream for Freesports, so if they don't offer this my idea wouldn't be possible (I've sent them a message to ask them).

Most of it seemed to be content previously shown on Channel 4 but I didn't attempt to check them all.

The promos are for History Channel, CI Channel etc, none of which are on Freeview. The new TCC content does seem to have been produced by/for A&E Networks. It's an unusual situation as A&E's Blaze channel took the former channel number of the Community Channel with TCC taking a slot further down the EPG as it moved to SDN. EPG slot trading between broadcasters isn't allowed on Freeview, so very unusual. Unless A&E Networks actually bought the "channel", which might explain why TCC carried Community Channel programmes for a few days before the changeover. Maybe TCC will develop into a new FTA channel from A&E and extend hours over time. Then again, it could just have been a contrived method of grabbing CC's old EPG slot only to close TCC at a later date. Who knows? it's all very odd.
