STV HD launching on SKY on the 28th April for us lucky enough to live in Scotland :)

From the STV Twitter feed:

"We don't have HD just now but STV HD will be live on Sky from 28th April. Hope that helps!"

Channel 178 apparently.

Channel 103 if you live in STV West (STV News from Glasgow) area.
Channel 178 if you live in STV North (STV News from Aberdeen) or STV East (STV News from Edinburgh) areas.

Even if it is just the advertising side MM one would still imagine Sky having considerable influence on the content C5 purchases and shows.

The articles I've read seem to suggest Discovery are the main player here with the advertising side being Sky's interest but who knows until we hear an official announcement. Personally I welcome a new owner hopefully the channel will receive increased programming budgets and we may even see some of the other 5 channels finally go HD.
