The bump is back dead on 8pm for me and a few others I have seen, but only a small percent. Pretty sure its not UBR related but hard to narrow it down to the other problems here.

Guys. Could you post up some trace routes taken during the bump and also some post codes. I have the ear of a guy in VM who says he will investigate the causes of the bump for those still suffering.

As mentioned before, pointless me providing traceroutes as my UBR is screwed as well so will interfere with results

You wouldn't, as this is limited to South london and 30 or so miles south of there. VM Core router/localised internernal network or something rather than the recent peering issue.

Have you sent a email to neil.berkett@virginmedia.co.uk to see if they can help ?

It has been reported to VM, I don't have the energy to deal with them anymore, even through the CEO's office. Been there and done that before multiple times in the past.

I'm at the point that I would rather the press picked up the story and gave VM a grilling like on the Bristol Post

Quite the opposite, since the only result we care about is why the UBR is screwed.

Thanks. I've passed that Trace Route on.

If there are any other remaining evening bump sufferers then mid-bump trace routes with your post code would be really helpful. I'll pass them on to the techie as I get them. You may prefer to give me the post code by PM.

No common points on the network that I can see with jempalmer.

Have to go out but will do a layer 4 trace when I get back. Got a feeling that some traffic is being shaped/routed differently and pings won't show much.

VM did say they were going to test new traffic management in Croydon...
