Re: [Merged] Football talk
The extraordinary career of Sir Alex Ferguson - the most successful British manager of all time - is celebrated at the 2005 HMV Football Extravaganza, to be held at Londonââ‚Ã⠀šÃ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 29 March.
Sir Alex, who earlier this season celebrated his 1000th game in charge of United, will be the recipient of the HMV Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Nationwide. He joins a very select list of British football legends to have received the award †“ John Charles (1997); Sir Stanley Matthews (1998); Nat Lofthouse (1999); Brian Clough (2000); Sir Bobby Robson (2001); Sir Bobby Charlton (2002); Tony Adams (2003) and Kenny Dalglish (2004).
