David Pipe hopes a return to Kempton for the William Hill King George VI Chase will help Dynaste turn the tables on Cue Card.

Pipe's grey impressed when winning the Feltham Novices' Chase at the Sunbury track nearly 12 months ago and while he performed well at Cheltenham and won at Aintree, it was arguably his best performance of last season.

The Grade One-winning novice looked certain to play a hand in the finish of the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal on his only run to date this season but unseated Danny Mullins at the fourth-last.

Trainer Gordon Elliott and owner Barry Connell had discussed trying to get another run into him in a race like the John Durkan Chase at Punchestown, but have decided to keep their powder dry and send him to England for the Christmas highlight.

Rocky Creek fought hard in the closing stages, but it was Triolo D'Alene (20-1) who prevailed by two and three-quarter lengths. Theatre Guide was another length and three-quarters away in third, with Highland Lodge fourth.
